Requirements of the role:

· A recognised Quantity Surveying Professional qualification - ideally MRICS Chartered

· Demonstrable evidence of working within the Commercial Sector.

· Employer's Agent experience

· Ability to manage a team and be responsible to other parts of the business. Will have significant direct responsibility to the Client, for the service provided

· Promoting the capability of the Company whenever the opportunity presents itself

· Be able to manage your own development through learning activities and training courses

· Experience of client management and development

· Appropriate skills in Business Development

· Knowledge of financial accounting systems and demonstrable evidence that you can manage projects financially

· Ability to dealing with Clients and/or the business at a senior level and, in some cases, engage and smooth relationships with more demanding clients

· Managing a team and being responsible for their appraisal and any development plan.

· Be innovative and proactive

· Ability to solve problems.

Responsibilities

· Develop new business and repeat business from existing clients

· Cross sell new services to existing clients

· Retain close contact with client individuals in order to develop new business should they move to alternative employment

· Manage a team of staff ranging from Trainees to Managing Surveyors. Engender a team spirit that encourages all to 'go the extra mile' when the situation demands but recognises where mentoring and support is required for each to realise their full potential

· Take ownership of the project and technical delivery of the projects undertaken by the team including the provision of pro-active technical advice to overcome any problems and difficulties that may be encountered
